Catching Fire Board Game

We would probably be facing legal issues if we were to produce this and sell it in the market, but this is just a class project. So to whoever sees this and gets the idea of suing us, well, I suggest you leave because we didn't do anything wrong.

In fact, I think we did a pretty decent job of advertising Suzanne Collins' 2nd book of The Hunger Games Trilogy: Catching Fire. And just so you know, my groupmates and I thought of this without any outside sources. Meaning, we didn't search the internet to have ideas as to how we would create it. So if you'll complain that you had the idea first, well, I'm sorry. We didn't know and didn't see whatever it is you made that is similar to what we did.

We downloaded the official Hunger Games font and adapted the original art work and
logo.

We did the board and the rules for the game, but still in reference to the original concept of the story of Suzanne Collins. However, we had to get photos of Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss Everdeen) and Josh Hutcherson (Peeta Mellark) and other actors and actresses whom we thought would best portray the other tributes if the 2nd movie will be made and shown.

Sadly, though, my group mates and I didn't get to play (not even once) with this board game that we poured our efforts and time in. This, by the way, is our preliminary exam for one of our major subjects. Guess what subject. Haha

I bet that if we ever get the chance to sell the rights to this thing, we'd be rich. But alas, we can't. Due to legal matters, of course. We didn't even ask permission for this thing. I do hope we get a good grade, though!

May the odds be ever in your favor! ♥

Saturdate

I wasn't supposed to go out today. But I figured that it's Saturday and I might as well enjoy the weekend, no matter how limited my budget is. Hahaha. So, I went to (where else?) Makati and met up with (who else?) Pachig.

I knew I'd be walking around and you all know my number one rule in dressing up: I wanted to be comfy. So I decided to wear, for the first time ever, my little bustier from Boosteeyay during the Super Sale Bazaar last month.

Surprisingly, it didn't feel all dressy and uncomfy at all. I used to only wear corsets and bustiers during special occasions and I've only known it for the gown kind. But since it's one of the fashion trends this Summer, I had to have at least one. And here it is.

Bustier: Boosteeyay | White tank top: Forever 21 | Jeans: Forever 21 | Belt with bow: Landmark
Necklace: Mia Casa | Watch: Relic
I had to wear a tank top over the bustier though. I didn't have enough confidence to wear it on its own. Also, it's mid rib. So... I don't want people seeing my bulging tummy. Hahaha

Bag: Betseyville by Betsey Johnson
We were supposed to watch Indie films from the Cinemalaya Festival but the tickets were all sold out. Then we wanted to watch The Dark Knight Rises but the tickets were all sold out again. Ugh. All Filipinos seem to be in the mall every Saturday.

We only ended up eating at Teriyaki Boy where I ordered the usual things I order in a Japanese Restaurant. I went home full and almost sick to the stomach. Is it just me or do you guys palpitate whenever you eat too much?

Watermelon Shake

Gyoza... I didn't order this. But they tasted yummy.

Pork Katsudon
I hope you all enjoy your weekend! :) I've just gone through Preliminary Exams week and I have something to show you guys! I almost forgot about it. Ugh. So clumsy of me... Watch out for my next post! Hint: Hunger Games fans will L-O-V-E it!

So, here are some parting photos of him and me. ♥

Online Shopping

Just recently, I made a new account in Lookbook.nu. I had an old one from years ago but I forgot my password. Hahaha. Anyway, it's so nice scrolling through hundreds to thousands of photos of normal people showcasing their passion and love for fashion. ♥ It's like a whole new universe in there. I forget time and my priorities a.k.a homeworks and reviewing for major exams whenever I'm logged in.

Doesn't really matter if I get hypes for the looks I post or not. I just like seeing other people's photos. I'm not a stalker or anything. I just appreciate visual art. Part of why I love Instagram as well is because I get to see pages and pages of photos. But it must be cool to have fans there in Lookbook. If you have an account there and you happen to read my blog, check out my Lookbook account if you have the time (http://lookbook.nu/adellepalacio).

As I was browsing in Lookbook I stumbled upon a link to Facebook which sells AMAZING clothes and accessories! But it's based in another country in Asia - forgot where - and so, international shipping fee is part of the deal. I am saddened by this because the shipping fee will probably cost me more than the actual garment I will purchase. *insert sad face*

I want the skirt and the patterned tights! ♥
This is one of the moments wherein I wish that I have a credit card (no limit, please!) and just purchase and purchase everything that I want. But alas, that's not possible. So I'll have to settle to just looking at these. For the Filipinos out there who happen to be reading this: if you see or know anything or anyone who sells these kinds of products here in the Philippines, kindly comment on this post and let me know. I will really appreciate your help!

In connection with the title of this post, I have been ordering different kinds of things I see online! It's become an addiction, I must admit. I don't leave the house but I still spend money on things that are out of my budget or weekly allowance. It's crazy, I know. I'll be needing an Interference from people soon.

     Happy evening, everyone!

Dressing Room Ninja # 3

I don't know if it's number 3 or 4. I lost track. But I just have to share this with you guys! I have just found and discovered my favorite and (probably) secret shopping spot! Well, ok...probably not secret. But what the hey.

Once I entered the store and saw the clothes hanging on all the hangers by the walls and racks, I only had one thought. And that's: I want everything! But of course, I can't. I don't have the means to have everything there. So, I settled for fitting some of the clothes I like but didn't buy.

If these are still there by the time I get back, I am definitely buying! ♥

Patterned Trousers

I'm not fond of patterned pants or leggings. I just made an exception when I saw that galaxy printed leggings at Topshop. I have nothing against printed pants though. I just can't seem to find the perfect top to pair with it. And I feel like they look like pajamas on me. Hahaha.

Patterned leggings: Shopaholic | Top: Forever 21 | Flats: SoleMate

But that fashion philosophy of mine changed when I saw this gorgeous leggings at my favorite shopping destination: SM Department Store! Not only are most of the clothes affordable, they are also comfy. And you know I'm a sucker for comfy clothes.

My sisters and I went to Global City yesterday and this is what I decided to wear. I knew we'd be walking around Market Market for hours long and I had to be comfy. Or else I'd be cranky. It was raining cats and dogs so I had to bring a hoodie/blazer to keep me dry and warm.

I spend half of my week's allowance on purchasing lots of things I don't really need but found pretty and amusing. So, I'd probably starve in school for this week. Hahahaha. Anyway, here are some of the amazing purchases I had that day:

Scarf: NAVA | 'Hello' shirt: Sugaritta | Eagle shirt: Top and Bottom | Coin can: Saizen | iPhone case: Japan Home Center
As a last minute thought, after buying this purple hard-case for my iPhone, I decided to buy this Lady Gaga sticker from Top and Bottom. The little DIY obsessed girl in me had a sudden urge to make yet another one of the customized iPhone cases so... here it is. I love how it turned out! :)

My Lady Gaga customized iPhone case! ♥

Also, I bought this coin can (piggy bank) wherein I'd put all my savings and not have the chance to "steal" my own savings by popping it open every now and then. With this can here, I'd have to open it like a can of soup in order to get my savings. But I wouldn't want to do that until it's full to the brim with money because the can will be useless after I open it. How awesome is this? Cheers to whoever invented this!

88peso coin can from Saizen
That night, we had dinner at this place called Jolliant. It's funny, their name. But the food's to be taken seriously. It tasted good! I also loved their interior design. Especially their lights!

I know their theme for the resto's ANT...but this is obviously a CATERPILLAR. Hahahaha.

Ordering my hot choco drink..

Had to sit at the back of the SUV with all the goodies we bought!

Contrasting "The Dark Knight Rises"

July 19, 2012 - I went to Makati along with my eldest sister, Maple, amidst the bad (rain and wind = flood) weather. It was a Thursday. I had a half day from school and went home at noon, so we had plenty of time. I knew we were going to watch "The Dark Knight Rises", the last installment of the Batman trilogy. I'm not a fan of DC superheroes, I'm more of a Marvel girl (Yaay for Avengers!) but I was curious about the movie. Everyone seems so psyched about it...and typical me, I just had to watch it during its premiere.

3 hours, the movie lasted. I got tired. I mean, who wouldn't? It's lasted more than what a flight from Philippines to another Asian country would. But I must admit: the movie was great! I still don't like Batman though -Don't hate on me, fans! I must say though, the movie was a tad predictable. 3 important points of the ending, I predicted...as a joke. And lo and behold, they turned out to be true. Why? I laughed at the irony of me not being a fan and knowing how it ended. Wouldn't divulge on the details... don't wanna be a spoiler to those who haven't watched. I recommend that you watch it. It's worth your time and money. :)

Alright, I've tattled long enough about the movie, now on to my outfit! In contrast to the darkness and gloom of the movie and weather, I wore something that people who saw me probably thought "What in the world is wrong with this lady?" Hahahaha.

Aztec romper: Runway Dreams | Flats: SoleMate
I love the peek-a-boo cut at the back! ♥
In my defense, I had a cardigan with me. I wore it inside the theater. ;) So, I wasn't that cold. Here in the Philippines, you'd savor every cold moment that comes your way. Why? Because most of the year and span of ones stay here, it's always scorching hot and humid! So don't mind me for wearing short and revealing clothes on considered cold and rainy day.

'Happy' necklace: Forever21 | Peace sign bracelet: Super Sale Bazaar
After watching the movie, my sister and I were ecstatic to find that the entire store of ZARA was on sale! *shopaholic squeal* I spent my entire week's allowance on my visit there. Hahaha. Now I'm poor as a rat. But I don't mind. So long as I look fab! ;)

Hope you all had a fabulous day! ♥

The HOT -ehem- Amazing Spider-Man

This is a very delayed post. I don't know why I forgot to write about this. Considering the fact that I loved the movie to bits! I even watched it in the cinema not twice, not thrice, but four times. If that doesn't prove how much I enjoyed the movie, then I don't know what will.

1st and last time I watched it, I was with Pachig. During the 2nd and 3rd one, I was with my sisters. I watched during the premier night and was so happy to get a free poster. However, I would've been happier, though, if Spider-Man didn't have his mask on! Hahaha. You know what I mean? I've never been interested on Spider-Man until Andrew Garfield put on that very tight red and blue suit. *wink wink*

How can one not swoon over this new Spider-Man? I mean, come on! I wouldn't have guessed that he's already 28 years old if I hadn't Google-d him. Emma Stone is one lucky lady.

Yes, this collage is my phone's wallpaper. ;)

Fave Hollywood couple. Wish they'd end up together forever. ♥
Anyway, I love the movie. Yes, I have a major crush on the main actor, but really, I think the movie, as a whole. is better than the old ones. I felt like I can relate more. And you know, the effects are far better. So on my 4th time to watch the film (in a span of one week), I met up with Pachig in Greenbelt where we decided to re-watch The Amazing Spider-Man

I decided to wear something comfy but chic. Since I'll be commuting to and from, I had to wear something modest or a bit conservative. I wouldn't want perverts and public transportation drivers gawking at my bare legs or whatever. So, I wore this:

White loose shirt: People Are People | Black spaghetti strap: Forever 21 |
Galaxy leggings: Topshop | Bag: Parfois | Sandals: Forever 21

I promised myself that before cinemas stopped showing Spider-Man, I'd watch again. I'll miss Andrew Garfield - and Peter Parker - for the time when it stops showing to the time the DVD is released. I'm kind of in a crush stage wherein I need a daily dose of him. ♥ Hahahahaha.

Check out my Twitter profile's background! ;)

Have a nice day, loves! :*

ZARA Inspired

I don't know if you know but I'm sure you do: ZARA is having its Mid-Year Sale in all of its branches *Shopaholic squeal of delight*!!!

According to my sister, sales usually have 1st, 2nd and 3rd waves wherein with each wave, prices drop more. So a tip to all shopaholics: don't fall for or buy during the 1st time they hang that big SALE sign that says 50% off because I assure you, it'll drop more and more up to 70% off. Learn to be patient. If you're meant to have that dress, shoes or accessories, you will keep on seeing it and be able to buy it at its possible lowest price - in your size! Trust me, I've tried and tested that fashion philosophy. But if you have no limited budget, unlike me, then go right ahead and buy it! ;)

Anyway, I've always wanted this certain ZARA dress and well, let's just say that even if it has dropped its price to almost 70%, I still can't quite afford it. Well, I can... but then I'd have to not eat at school for an entire week. As you know, we went to the Super Sale Bazaar last Friday and I saw the dress there: for only Php780. But I still thought it was kinda pricey. Considering the fact that the fabric's sheer. I felt like it wasn't worth it. So, I left the bazaar without the dress in my shopping bag.

Following day, Saturday, my sisters and I went to Divisoria. If you're a Filipino, you'd know that it's THE place to find almost everything...at its lowest possible store value. A thousand pesos can go a looooong way there. So, no surprise here: I found the ZARA dress I want for only Php500!!! Yaaay! It's quite pricey for something sold in Divi but I figured it's probably the cheapest of its kind I can ever find. Might as well buy it. Buy it, I did.

The ZARA dress
My version of the dress (different print but same style)
Tada! You like it? I do! I wore it to church on Sunday (even if the front part was a tad too short). Also, I had to wear a shrug or cover-up over it so as to look a modest. I tried.

Before I bombard you with more photos of myself (my sister took them, thanks! you're slowly learning. hahaha), I'd like to impart this quote which I find very relevant to my post.

Have a lovely day, everyone! ♥
