Sneak Peek!

Since I'm quite busy with finishing the orders for my little business (check out our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/thepaperdollscloset); writing prelim papers and doing some other things that don't really matter but I still do.... Here's a sneak peek of my next post! ;)

Happy Sunday, everyone!

Super Sale Bazaar!

Happy Friday the 13th, everyone! ;)

I consider such days as lucky...unlike what everyone else thinks. I have always had a fondness for the number "13". My sisters think it's because I'm part evil or something. Hahahaha

Anyway, after class (thank heavens our afternoon class got cancelled), Carla and I went to my house to wait for Sabrina, our other friend, and my sister Maple. We have all been waiting for this day to come for it is yet again, the time to go shopping at...

The SuperSale Bazaar!
I asked my parents to give us extra money this week so as to have more budget for clothes. It's 90% off! How can one not want to shop at a time like this? It's like an early Christmas present for us fashion and shopping lovers. ♥ And luckily, my parents agreed. My sisters, thanks to me and my convincing powers, got extra cash for this event too. ;)

We skipped lunch, the four of us. We were all to eager and excited to see what's in store for us at the World Trade Center Manila where the event is taking place until Sunday. Entrance fee is 100pesos but it's worth it! All the clothes are... I dunno, I am speechless. If I had the ability to, I'd buy ALL of them (using too much exclamation points on this post)!

My other sister, Pam, met up with us there. But she left earlier than us because she has other plans for today. My elder sister and I, however, along with my 2 best friends, roamed around the place for almost 3 hours straight: searching for the perfect and affordable skirts, bustier, blouse, swimsuit, shorts, bags, accessories and shoes. Alas, we all ended up broke by the end of our trip...and starving. So we all had the same food on our way out of the tent (Sbarro pizzas, Milk teas and Oreo Cheesecake and Red Velvet cookies). Before really leaving, my friends and I had to take a photo by the huge banner outside. So tourist-y. Hahahaha.

L-R: Me, Carla and Sabrina

My purchases for today... ♥ Thank you, parents for the financial aid!

Peace Friendship bracelets! Treats from Sabrina since she works already and earns her salary. ;)
There are a whole lot more that I wish I could've bought... but I have limited budget even with my parents' aid. Still thankful, though. ♥ I love my purchases and it was so nice to have gone shopping with my bestfriends and my sisters. All the stress of the entire week flew out the window once we entered the tent.

Watch out for my posts wherein I'll be wearing my purchases! Oh and here's what I wore for today. Comfy clothes for a hectic shopping spree.

Head-To-Toe in Forever 21... I just realized.

Thinking of going back to the bazaar on Sunday... even if I won't be receiving or earning money today or tomorrow. There's just so much that I like. You guys should definitely drop by this weekend. In my opinion, this is the BEST bazaar I have ever visited.

     Happy weekends! ♥

Monkey Business District

No, I do not work for or intend to work for someday in the corporate business world. That's too mainstream for me. I like to float my own boat, if you know what I mean.

However, I got to come with my sister and Daddy to Manila's Business District a.k.a. Makati one afternoon after I got home from school a bit earlier than expected. I go to Makati for their malls and parks mainly. But I don't get to wander off to the streets and districts where women in high heels and men in suits walk around dragging their briefcases. No. This was one of the rare moments that I did. We had the car with us but since we had to wait for my sister and Daddy's secretary to come back down from the building wherein they had to do their errands, I walked on the sidewalks and looked around.

As I looked up at the skyscrapers, the people looked at me. I suppose they see these building every single day as they go to and from their works. And add to that, the fact that I don't really seem to belong in those streets.

Excuse my messy hair... I fell asleep inside the car. ;)

2 Dinners in 1 Hour

I am long past wondering why for the past few months, I have gained weight. My arms are chunky and I can see impending signs of external obliques. But you can't blame me... Well, alright, you can. It's just that I have this favorite quote and I kind of live by it.

"Temptation is fun... but giving in is better.

I am not sure who said it... all I know is, I read it inside the wrapper of a Dove Chocolate Bar. See? I even get my quotes from food! Bye size 26 waistline. Bye US size 2. :(

Sometimes though, I don't really mind. This gaining weight issue. Why? Because it goes to show that I am blessed. I have enough food served in front of me (yummy ones) thrice, if not more, a day. While I know that starvation is a huge problem for a lot of families and children out there. I should be thankful. I am.

I forgot when the exact date was... but I was blessed to have had 2 dinners in 1 hour - as the title says. Pachig and I were to meet at a burger place wherein they serve some of the biggest and yummiest (so they say) burgers. But as usual, he was late. My family decided to dine out that night. I didn't want to wait at home alone, so I came along with them. I introduced them to South Diner. Remember that post I made before about it? Well, I enjoyed the ambiance and food there. I wanted to share the experience with my family. So, off we went to eat dinner there.

Ordering food

Trying to take a picture with Daddy... but failed. Hahaha.

The SINISTER customer. lol.

Pretty Little Sister

Yummy shake!

Ribs.

After ordering and having our food served, Pachig decides to pick me up from this resto and bring me to our originally planned destination for dinner... So, off we went to Zark's Burger

Look who's excited for his Jawbreaker Burger... ;)

Excuse the Steadler pencil on top of his burger... he just got back from school. :)

My ever-worth is 95peso burger. Mhmmm.

I told you he was happy. ;)
So there... within an hour, I devoured enough food for an entire day. hahahaha. Really, gluttony is like part of me now. Have to break the habit.

Monday Mayhem

I hate Mondays. Who can love it? It's the start of another stressful week (school or work wise) and ends the somewhat fun weekends. I always wonder why weekends are far shorter than the weekdays.

Anyway, as me and my younger sister arrived home from school, we asked our eldest sister to drive us to BF Homes to get some Milkteas and...French macarons! We went to a cozy place called Bon Appetea

Since Milktea places are in hype here in the Philippines (they all sprouted out like mushrooms all at the same time), you can see them practically at every corner. However, here at Bon Appetea, they have far cheaper products compared to other tea hubs. They taste the same anyway, so why spend more than 100pesos on your drink? Here, you can have a large drink with pearls for just 80pesos. Both you and your wallet will definitely smile after your visit at this place.

In addition to cheaper (and yummy) drinks, they have great ambiance! Not to mention the major color blocking going on inside the store. They made the place to look like a cozy home - with a kitchen, living room with fireplace, small sitting areas and even dining room. Also, one wall is covered almost entirely of post-its with doodles and writings of customers! How cool and fun is that?

As you can see, my sister's wearing a corporate attire since she just came home from work and our youngest sister's wearing her school PE uniform. As for me... well, I just had to change into something else rather than my school uniform.

Back on topic - We always order the drink called Nirvana and it's surprisingly true to its name. It's the only drink we order here. I dunno why we don't try anything else. But that night, we did try something else: Red Velvet Macarons!!! ♥

Nirvana with Peals, Red Velvet and Pistachio Macarons

Eating and drinking is sooooo mainstream. So, my sisters and I decided to laugh out loud amidst the fact that it was Monday night and we still had the whole week ahead of us. What more better way to capture the moment than to take out my ever trusty iPhone and bring out our wacky poses?
