Color Blocking

Summer here in our country starts on April. By this time, almost all schools are on break and students are either out partying or just simply staying up late. I for one does the latter part. I'm not really the type to go out partying and drinking myself to sleep.
Come this time of the year, the usual humid and simply put, hot weather of the Philippines becomes worse with every passing day. I can't stand up from my chair without sweating with what little effort and movement I just did. It's gross, I know. But on the upside, I don't need to strain myself with exercise and the likes for simply sitting and standing up makes me lose a couple of pounds.
So with that, every time I go out (which is seldom for two reasons: (1) I'm broke and (2) It's too hot that I get lazy on getting dressed and commuting to someplace), I make sure that I wear simple, soft and cool-colored clothes. Blacks and Grays are dominant in my closet and the sudden burst of colors from my Summer-y colored clothes are quite refreshing and essential to this season.

Ever since I was a kid, I had a knack for mixing different and unexpected colors together. I learned it from my grandmother who loved to pair and match her clothes' color to her nail polishes and purses. Though I prefer wearing monochromatic clothes, it's comfier to wear light colored clothes in this weather. So for the entire month, you'd always catch me on color blocking mode. ;)
